any trac admins around?
<nephele>
would be neat if the "pointless comments" stuff in https://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/BugTrackerEtiquette could be ammended to point to the vote system for tickets, so this gets more visibility, for people who read this

<HaikuUser>
how can i remove the boot manager (i only have one os installed, its not very useful, i thought it was necessary lol)
HaikuUser has quit []
<pol>
There is Installer and it's Tools menu where you can access BootManager and it will let you uninstall.
<Habbie>
the 'dd' might kill partitions created since the install, right?
<Habbie>
ah, writembr writes a -haiku- boot loader, which is not the boot manager
<OscarL>
re dd: probably, yes. Maybe the guide should mention "don't do this if you made changes to your partition table after installing BootManager".

I don't know because I land in the Kernel Debugging Land only after an 3rd party application crashing.
<pol_>
There is no help command avilable from there. Normal KDL will allow me to issue reboot command but it does not work here.

pol_: usually when app_server crashes, all bets ar off, and you will need to reboot.
<scanty>

<pol_>
It's FileZilla mostly causing this for me.
<pol_>
When dragging window and also with some filenames incopatibility.
<scanty>

i know i can rebuild the i2c binary by calling 'jam' in src/bin/i2c, but can i pass something to jam from generated/ to have it do that? it's not 'i2c' or 'bin/i2c'
