i do have free time, so i can :D
<robclark>
thx
<steev>
i *thought* i saw that angle had fixed it, or at least had some sorta patch on the way? or is this a thing where electron is now gonna be broken for a while
<steev>
i closed the bug report when i saw a patch or something, i didn't follow up, and i should have
<robclark>
there were some CLs that.. might have fixed something?
<robclark>
but I think it will take some time to trickle out and see if it actually did

Hi, @maz I returned to Hong Kong check with Lenovo, they offer the Mini-x SnapDragon 32Gb / 256GB for about 640USD
<xelite>
That isn't bad at all.

Neighbours Mini-X is already in service
<JensGlathe[m]>
Its a nice box with odd i/o choices. Looks like they used 2 xhci controllers only, 0xa6000000 for tb4 and 0xa4000000, which is mp, but managed to get a type-c port on it and the usb3 root hub for the other type-a ports, plus the r8152 NIC). There‘s no 0xa8000000 controller in the hwinfo log. But you need 2 dpphys for hdmi and dp, so there‘ one extra qmpphy used from an unused xhci controller

xelite: 640USD==480GBP, so that's exactly the price I paid. it's gone back up since though.
<JensGlathe[m]>
black week incoming
<_mike_>
JensGlathe[m]: g'day
<steveej[m]>
so weird, on the the x13s with 6.17-rc6 i get bluetooth hickups that correlate with any type of I/O, even typing
<JensGlathe[m]>
interrupt shenanigans?
<steveej[m]>
i might be wrong about the typing, i forgot about a background task that does I/O. i can reproduce it clearly with `pv -s50G -S /dev/zero > zero`
<steveej[m]>
Jens Glathe: sounds plausible. i haven't changed the config (knowingly). i didn't have the issue on 6.16-rc5. will try reverting and see if that helps

i just built the linaro 6.17 rc7 kernel and installed it. my bluetooth mouse and keyboard say they are connected, but they don't seem to work at all. they worked when I used Jens Glathe's 6.16 kernels though.

woooo got my monitor today \o/ 3840x2560 @... 50 Hz huh. am I missing the 4 lane thing somehow (err that'd be 30Hz) or.. is that lack of DSC?
<HdkR>
4k60 can be done without DSC
<valpackett>
it's a biiit bigger than 16:9 4k tho
<HdkR>
Oh
<valpackett>
it's the benq "programming monitor" that's 3:2! :3
* HdkR
uses bandwidth calculator
<HdkR>
Apparently with 8-bit mode that should work with 4 lanes of HBR2
<valpackett>
ohhhh, 50 Hz barely fits into 2 lanes
<valpackett>
i have USB 2.0 selected on the monitor so it shouldn't take the lanes for USB3
<valpackett>
but i guess i'm in 2 lane mode
<valpackett>
actually kind of amazing that 50 Hz fits into 2 lanes without DSC and if I actually needed USB3 over the same cable I only need to sacrifice 10 Hz
