ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Chrome OS Trogdor Devices - Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630 - Lenovo ThinkPad X13s - and various other snapdragon laptops) - https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/aarch64-laptops

alexVinarskis[m]: it works here - it flashes about 4 times when it’s first turning on - maybe sensors turning on? Either way, it’s on when the cam is on, and turns off when I close cheese (and back on when I restart it)

qualcomm fastconnect 7800 bluetooth in device manager (windows) listed as device instance path QCA_SHB\UART_H4_HMT\3&2DBA09C2&0&4097
<programmerin-wonderland>
not sure what that means but I'll take a note of it :)
<programmerin-wonderland>
also extracted the acpi tables
<programmerin-wonderland>
can confirm that the bluetooth was gpio 116 which I was pulling to high
<programmerin-wonderland>
so it's not a devicetree thing atp
<programmerin-wonderland>
(I think-- atleast)

programmerin-wonderland: I’d check if you have a qcbtuart-ish folder like in the email thread you found of mine, and any of the .bXX files, see if grabbing a copy of them helps, though… actually, do you attempt to set the MAC address at all (I don’t know if that’s required on x1e as I’m just using Ubuntu on mine currently

konradybcio: In your X13 EC driver, do you remember where you found the reset GPIO? Also why are the system PM ops commented out?

hello i want to put void linux or gentoo on the x1e lenovo yoga slim 7 laptop, at first i thought i just needed a newer kernel which is why i tried gentoo after void linux but it seems i am missing the device trees to even get the installation isos running
<aaskd>
am i able to get .dtb to drop into the iso possibly?
<abby>
don't know of anyone with an x1e laptop on void so there hasn't been any work towards supporting it
<SpieringsAE>
sre: sorry for my impatience for the usb-c dp altmode on the rk3588 :D your rfc looks a lot more like what I expected though

<albsen[m]>
aaskd: gentoo might be easier since there are a few patches that you'll need to port from ubuntu concept
<aaskd>
yeah i figured but i still cant get the CD to boot at all, it just freezes saying generating empty DTBs

steev: thanks for testing. By turning on you mean laptop booting, or when you first open the camera app or whatever?
<steev>
i mean when first open cheese, the led blinks like 4 times quickly before staying on
<alexVinarskis[m]>
Ah ok. Weird, but i guess its fine. As long as its not doing weird things during the boot, saw some discussion about that being not accepted. Want me to cc you in the series?

is there anyone here with an arm64 chromebook? If so, could you please test (in chromeOS) if https://www.udemy.com/support/system-check/ plays for you (widevine test) pretty please 🙏? I ask because this site does not work under asahi-alarm, nor fedora asahi while other widevine test streams do work
<Treibholz[m]>
I can't get netflix working either in my "distrobox fedora Firefox with asahi widevine installer", but Amazon Prime Video works. (doesn't work with my normal Debian Firefox at all...)
<Treibholz[m]>
Jos Dehaes: The pages says: it should work, but I can't play the video (Firefox in distrobox fedora)

<JosDehaes[m]>
yes, same here. It doesn't work on either firefox or chromium while the page says widevine is supported. As we're all using the chromeOS widevine libs, I'm interested in knowing if it works in arm64 chromeOS
<JosDehaes[m]>
* arm64 chromeOS (edit: to see if there's any hope of getting it to work in asahi)
<Treibholz[m]>
Maybe it's a secret bonus level from Udemy and you get a special certificate if you get it running :-)

abby: the distribution shouldn't matter, if you use grub you can specify the devicetree with `devicetree dtbs/6.17-rc3-abc/qcom/x1e80100-lenovo-yoga-slim7x.dtb"
<anthony25>
sorry, ignore the mixed quote, the line in grub doesn't need any quote
<anthony25>
dtbs/6.17-rc3-abc/qcom/x1e80100-lenovo-yoga-slim7x.dtb is the path to the slim7x devicetree from your boot partition
