ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Chrome OS Trogdor Devices - Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630 - Lenovo ThinkPad X13s - and various other snapdragon laptops) - https://oftc.irclog.whitequark.org/aarch64-laptops
<kuruczgy_>
This is only adding various MST prerequisites to the x1e dts, we are still waiting for the big "[PATCH v2 00/38] drm/msm/dp: Add MST support for MSM chipsets" series to be fixed up, right?
<kuruczgy_>
Also does "The following chipsets support 2 total pixel streams: [...] x1e80100" mean that x1e can only support max 2 displays on 1 USB-C port? Is this a hardware limitation?

jdb[m]: yes, you can leave out efi=noruntime when the "linux boot" option is enabled on the x13s as the latter disables all runtime services
<jhovold>
my x13s resets instead of powering off when runtime services are enabled

<jhovold>
and on the reference designs it's clear that the efi firmware crashes
<jhovold>
on x1e, which the question yesterday was about, the firmware triggers a page fault
<jhovold>
you really want to make sure you pass efi=noruntime even if things seems to work (e.g. by triggering a watchdog reset, or by hanging when the machine is supposed to be off)

\[m]: you may be thinking of regulator_ignore_unused, but that's only needed when you determine which display modules need to be in your initramfs
<jhovold>
and I've never mentioned that one in the wiki (but I do list the modules needed on x13s in the commit message for johan_defconfig)

the question i am wondering is, where do the battery "notification id" -> "what the notification is" come from because trying to search for battery notification ids is... an exercise in futility. but locally i'm seeing unknown notifications for 0x83, 0x283 and 0x483
