The trackpad works with the Surface Pro keyboards on the SP11 btw, using the Surface Aggregator Module / EC

It's surprising that they would implement something totally different just for the trackpad on the SL7

I've spent a bit of time trying to get the Surface Pro Flex keyboard working wirelessly, as it has both pogo pins and a BLE-based Bluetooth connectivity

No success so far as the keyboard doesn't advertize itself, there is no pairing mode officially described

On Windows, there is an automatic process (I guess via a specific driver) to add and pair the BLE-side of the keyboard when it is physically attached to a Surface Pro tablet and then "it just works"

People have been complaining that they can't use the keyboard with any other BLE host, on my end I would love to get it working on Linux to start with (but it's not at the top of my list)
