Jens etGlathe: about the SN740 / SN770, are you facing some issues specifically?
<jdb[m]>
I have the SN770 so I'm wondering where to look at, to check if everything is alright
<jdb[m]>
I have seen the firmware update available and working from Linux, but I don't know if it is worth applying or not in my case
<JensGlathe[m]>
sn770 (and 740) had sleep/resume issues, and as it seems some low-level PCIe error issue leading to a lockup (read-only filesystem) on btrfs. It was so bad that I changed to a different drive (Silicon Power 2TB) to get rid of it. Now I updated the firmware on the original problem drive, and did a test build run to see how it behaves. It locked up ☹️ Afterwards, did a btrfs balance (all volumes) which took quite some time. So
<JensGlathe[m]>
maybe the btrfs was already in a poor state when I changed the drive, or the issue isn't resolved. Will stress-test the drive a bit to find out.
<jdb[m]>
Thanks for the context, I will be curious to see if it resolves all your issues (I'm not using btrfs so different setup)

Newer firmware on the SN740 doesn't solve the BTRFS lockup issue. Just locked up on the second consecutive build run.
