valpackett: sound is not completely drop-out free or distortion-free. For me sound deteriorates after a while, too.

at least the onboard mic works great, just tested it in production :D on a 30 minute work call

speakers did drop a channel once when i was trying higher volumes but i didn't test speakers too much yet, i barely ever listen on speakers

there's also.. like.. that momentary boost in the left channel that's not visible to the os or anything

If there's a sensed imedance change, and other shenanigans like power adjustment, this could be enough for the boost. A few decades ago (yes I'm that old) amplifiers were easy and analog tech. Still, getting HiFi out of it was a challenge.
