I did try my hand at enabling the touchscreen on SP11.
<reng>
No luck, beyond my ability to continue.

I just built a 16k pages kernel for my x13s. My benchmark (not very memory-intense) is "only" 5% faster, but the firefox and everything else "feels" much faster. So after 20min, this really seems to be a good idea. Any known disadvantages, why this is not the default?
<Treibholz[m]>
dmesg shows some messages efi: memattr: Entry address region misaligned (28 times), but it doesn't look like an error or warning. Just an info.

Treibholz[m]: Can't use FEX is a disadvantage for some.
<Treibholz[m]>
HdkR: this is something I am very happy to accept :-) If software is binary x86-only, I refuse to use it.
<HdkR>
I too play a lot of xmoto and rrootage

my X13s is not meant to be a gaming-machine, but doom3 with ultra-quality settings runs at 60fps...

The GPU was pretty nice

widevine in my fedora distrobox firefox seems also to work (the only closed-source stuff, I need) But as the installer is from asahi-linux, I expected it to work with a 16k kernel.

Treibholz[m]: expect random software using jemalloc to break (distro packages should be mostly ok by now)

<Treibholz[m]>
jemalloc on debian is compiled with --with-lg-page=16, so this should not be an issue. With debian, you don't need that many packages from outside.

_oftc_mike_lok: that kernel actually includes all audio-related patches for XPS. What you need is 1. add snd_soc_x1e80100.i_accept_the_danger to the command line (ubuntu specific safety , as speakers are experimental) and 2. follow the guide to add audiorech topology binary. As headsup on XPS sound is not yet that great with audioable pops, i wouldnt run it at full volume
