junari: Hey. Am I reading it right that you managed to get the emmc working on your walnitpi?
<junari>
partially yes. Do you have walnutpi too?
<BroderTuck>
Nu, just an x96qpro+
<junari>
Doesn't x96qpo+ have this feature out of the box?

Maybe with the right tweaks, I'm just getting "[ 1.346254] sunxi-mmc 4022000.mmc: card claims to support voltages below defined range [ 1.350539] mmc1: error -110 whilst initialising MMC card" tho

On my x96qproplus I see the following message:
<junari>
[ 1.697400] mmc2: new HS200 MMC card at address 0001 [ 1.698248] mmcblk2: mmc2:0001 BJTD4R 29.1 GiB
<junari>
Ahh, I see, I lowered the bus frequency to 25 MHz
<junari>
I noticed that walnutpi has the voltage value for emmc io set to 2.1v, so I set it in mainline as well. Now I can use it to store files and under some conditions it is possible to start the system with emmc
<BroderTuck>
Adt tweak, or something else?
<junari>
adt?
<BroderTuck>
*a dt*
<junari>
Yes, only dt
<junari>
right now my walnutpi is running at 150 MHz. Has anyone checked the io voltage for x96qproplus?
<BroderTuck>
I'm just wondering of there are any other changes in that repository that amight affect thisl.
<junari>
I haven't touched any other things as far as I can remember. But maybe I forgot something since I haven't done it for the last month

My last attempts were to set the speed bin to select voltages. But it seems AW's job is to write as much confusing stuff as possible when

junari: so are you saying you are advertising a 1.8V I/O voltage, but need to "overclock" this by 300mV?

apritzel: Just wanted to say thanks for the sunxi-fel script. I've got everything working now. The FEL transfer is a little slow - 45 seconds with an Image.gz of 11M. Does that seem typical?

electricworry: yes, FEL mode is quite slow, speed depends on the particular BootROM, and H616 is a bit more than 300KB/s
<electricworry>
apritzel: Thanks! BTW, would you be ok with me including that script you sent as part of a public repo with attribution? And if so, is there a particular license or just PD you'd be happy with??
<apritzel>
electricworry: for that script I don't really care, attribution sounds fine, so make it PD or GPL, whatever suits you better
