<bentiss>
upgrading gitlab to 17.11.2, I have missed the notification becuase of the failing scheduled pipelines bug, hopefully this will fix this as well

I always somehow forget that Consolatis is running some sort of ARM, but a potato that's lower end than the already joke tier RasPi
ybogdano has joined #freedesktop
<kode54>
or are the only performant ARM machines all upper triple digits as a base price?
* kode54
still salty about Apple RAM prices

<karolherbst>
looks like we got only 1/3 of the sign-ups over the last 7 days than the previous 7 days
<karolherbst>
(on gitlab that is)
Guest15773 has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<karolherbst>
but that doesn't mean _that_ much, because the previous week was also kinda spammy
<karolherbst>
but the lsat 7 days are still less busy than usual, so I guess anubis helps out a bit with that as well... or it just annoys enough users so they don't sign-up 🙃
<karolherbst>
also.. for anybody for which gitlab doesn't load after the update, restarting your browser seems to help
<mupuf>
bentiss: seems to have fixed the scheduled pipelines!
<bentiss>
mupuf: cool. Hopefully this will hold
<kode54>
someone looked at the world of internet forums and wikis
<kode54>
and wondered aloud why more people don't want to take on the task of personally administering a personal forum and wiki site
<kode54>
I guess it would be sort of fine if you included in your duties personally vetting every account registration
<kode54>
getting to know every single user on a personal basis
<kode54>
auditing every single user contribution
<glehmann>
mhm, fdo gitlab doesn't render properly on every device/browser I tried
<dwfreed>
my company posted a couple jobs, and one of the screening questions you have to fill out when applying asks you to look at our (open source) code and describe its architecture; one response started with "I cannot access external resources" straight from an AI
<kode54>
lovely
<kode54>
wanna know something I find sad too?
<kode54>
there's also a high likelihood that someone manually copied that from AI and wasn't literate enough to know its significance
<kode54>
high dependence on LLMs can apparently destroy literacy
<mupuf>
glehmann: ctrl + f5?
<kode54>
thanks, I just forgot what that did and did it to my IRC client
<kode54>
so used to using ctrl+r
<kode54>
or cmd+r
<glehmann>
mupuf: doesn't help
<kode54>
are you logged in? so I know I should check what it looks like if I log out?
<kode54>
also what does it look like? screen shots welcome

Is something wrong with the dri-devel patchwork instance at the moment? Been having trouble accessing it and I've been trying to get on it so I can push some patches upstream
<Lyude>
oh. the simple act of me pointing out my observations appears to have been enough to fix patchwork :)
<pzanoni>
I have a few repos on annarchy.fd.o that I haven't used in 9 years. Is it safe if I just "rm -rf ~/repo.git" or is something else required since this appears in cgit.fd.o?
