eric_engestrom, mupuf, bentiss: I can see the mesa nightly runs have been triggered manually for the last 6 days. Last trigger from cron on April 24th (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/pipelines?page=1&scope=all&source=schedule). The same day, the scheduled pipelines in mesa-performance-tracking (mpt) and ci-uprev stopped receiving their trigger too.
<sergi>
As in mpt we have an hourly pipeline to take data to the dashboards, the last cron's trigger was a 7:16 am UTC.
<sergi>
All those scheduled pipeline stop the same day, and they can be manually triggered. I still have the felling that cron needs a kick. Something on the 24th stopped and there may be other scheduled pipelines affected.

<bentiss>
sergi: I did upgrade gitlab to 17.11.1 on the 23rd. So there must have been a change (or a bug) that created this situation. But I don't see failing jobs in the background jobs list related to scheduled pipelines

<sergi>
bentiss: I'm triggering manually those jobs in mesa-performance-tracking since 2 days ago
<sergi>
If I press the play button (using the gfx-ci-bot user credentials, but a manual action) the pipelines are created and they work
<sergi>
With the update on the 23rd, it seems to be working until the morning of the 24th. The hourly scheduled pipeline in mesa-performance-tracking can gives us an hour resolution
<daniels>
sergi: does it work if you edit the schedule somehow then save it? or delete and create a new schedule?
<bentiss>
FWIW, I'm off today, so can't help you further here
<bentiss>
sergi: worse case, I (or daniels) can give you a wireguard access to the cluster so you can browse the logs on the internal grafana
<sergi>
bentiss, daniels: I can experiment with ci-uprev scheduled pipeline (delete and recreate)
<zmike>
I'm confused how this happened with my changes

<zmike>
how do variables work in gitlab yml?
<zmike>
specifically re: job inheritance
<zmike>
like if I have job A which inherits from B, C, D, does A incrementally inherit variables from B, C, D or does it only inherit from D?
<MrCooper>
more like the former
<zmike>
hm

what's the issue?
swatish2 has joined #freedesktop
<zmike>
it seems like the debian-clang cflags/cppflags aren't being correctly inherited into its subclassed jobs
<MrCooper>
note that if another job which is listed after debian-clang in extends: sets the same variable, that replaces the value from debian-clang, doesn't amend it
<zmike>
right, but they don't
<zmike>
or at least the ones I'm looking at don't
<zmike>
it's fine I guess, I just added the flags manually

yeap, variables are getting merged in gitlab and last one wins
<alatiera>
variables: blocks
<alatiera>
which is the opposite for any other kind, where if you redefine script: or whatever else, its getting overwritten
