nbd: what is the right approach? Define a second bridge port with a static IP and exclude it from bridger? Or better a physical port not part of the bridging?

libcrypto.so.3

this package did not complain before
<Habbie>
did something change in openwrt master with how openssl is packaged/handled/... ?

nbd: spoke too soon. Last patchset still has the "hostapd grabs a CPU" bug
<f00b4r0>
but there is nothing in dmesg, which is what I was paying attention to
<f00b4r0>
if I can pull 24.10 HEAD and just build the mt76 modules and install that on the running machine I might give it a try tonight. Since the kernel hasn't been bumped I assume this'll work. I don't have time for a full reflash

Hi. another two Realtek PRs are ready.
<hauke>
Habbie: libcrypto.so.3 is openssl, maybe it is an optional dependency and openssl was build for you before and it detected it. maybe explicity tell it o use openssl or not
<f00b4r0>
nbd: ok I'll give it a shot
<f00b4r0>
the hostapd bug seems very startup-related. I'll see if the last changes fix that

hauke, likely. goes into the rest of the bin with "openwrt build env is not very isolated" this week :)
<Habbie>
hauke, the previous version also shows the problem, but not in GH actions, so seems like that
<Habbie>
hauke, in this case this package (dnsdist) comes in 'full' and 'smaller' and the full does depend on openssl, so it always ends up in the build env :>
