<robimarko>
No idea, but its a generic issue since we updated a lot of autohell components
<robimarko>
Now if autoreconf is being used it will check for C23 and that causes a lot of issues
<robimarko>
Its being investigated

m4t: actually that's the first thing I tried, but you cannot do chmod on /. even though there is an overlay. At the moment I have my build-script modify package/base-files/Makefile but I would like to learn how to make a package that contains a patchfile that is executed by the make system. if it was any other package than base-files I think it would be trivial to make a package that depends on
<mrfrenzy>
base-files and patches it, then replace base-files with my feed. Problem is I cannot find in feeds what pulls in base-files, or what depends on it.

rmilecki: we are a lot of people still using vendor builds based on 21.02 so it certainly is appreciated

I don't understand what I need to modify an existing package or create a new one and build it locally.

Hi need a hint for this topic. Want to add nand/ubi features for the realtek target. Sadly this increases the image size and we are already thight with some devices. Current idea is to add a new subtarget with more features. E.g. besides rtl930x I would add rtl930x_nand. Does it make sense?
