anyone familiar with mediatek mt7981b + SD card slots?
<mrkiko>
I am trying to add the correct DTS snippet to support that, but am probably missing something really important so far, I am under the impression I can not get answers from the controller at all ... just an impression
<mrkiko>
or, better ...host->error is 1 in various cases

Ansuel: was the intent of 'apk list --full ...' to replicate the opkg 'Packages' file format? For use by the ASU server?
<Ansuel>
no it's to adapt to luci parsing and have the luci app work
<efahl>
Aha.

The 'installed' member of ctx has moved out of the context and is no longer available when we need it, so just commented it out.
<efahl>
This result in extra 'Status: ... installed' lines in the 'apk list -I --full' output, but it doesn't seem to affect luci-app-package-manager...
<efahl>
It's at line 46 of the 0010 patch.
<Ansuel>
I will take a look. The installed thing seems to need extra care
<efahl>
Thanks!

<Sander_>
Hi, I have a PR that's ready for merging. It has been reviewed and approved by DragonBluep. Could anyone please have a look? Thx! https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/17981
minimal has joined #openwrt-devel
<Edu4rdSHL>
Sander_, the people who "approved" it aren't members or affiliated to the OpenWrt org
<Habbie>
hey, kpn wifi
<Sander_>
I think it's safe to say that DragonBluep is an authority on the MT721 target. There was even a vote to give him merge rights, but the vote failed to reach a quorum.
<Habbie>
i helped port openwrt to the 'kpn experia wifi'
<Habbie>
including finding an exploit to avoid having to SPI flash :)
<Edu4rdSHL>
Sander_, so, he's not part of the org
<Habbie>
now i wonder if that exploit works on old superwifi firmware too
<Sander_>
Yes I'm aware of the Experia Wifi, I even have a few units running at friends and family. The Superwifi doesn't have a way to upload firmware (or at least, recent firmwares don't support this), and the bootloader is locked.
<Habbie>
the experia wifi also has both of those problems
<Habbie>
that's why the exploit (for old firmware, which is how i found mine at a second hand store) was convenient
<Habbie>
unlocking the bootloader is like a 10 byte write to mtd :)
<Habbie>
also, nice work Sander_
<Sander_>
Early versions of the Experia Wifi had the option to upload firmware
rmilecki has quit [Quit: Konversation terminated!]
<Habbie>
oh neat
<Habbie>
i wonder if that's even older than mine, or i never checked
<Habbie>
i did not go in with 'upload firmware' as the goal, i just wanted something to hack on ;)
<Sander_>
Superwifi 2 is my next target. Unfortunately they're still quite expensive, and I got scammed on Marktplaats when trying to buy one :(
<Habbie>
ouch
<Habbie>
for the 'wifi' ones, how did you flash? SPI?
<Sander_>
The Experia Wifi I flashed via the web, I got them ages ago with the old firmware
<Habbie>
right, with that signer trick
<Habbie>
i never ended up actually flashing my Wifi :>
<Sander_>
They're old but pretty well performing still, Wifi range especially is very good
<blocktrron>
Sander_: does pulling the SPI cs to ground on boot give you a console?
<blocktrron>
I'll have a look at the PR - Deutsche Telekom decided to buy the same thing from arcadyan, just with Quantenna and USB attached realtek for 2.4GHz 🤡
<Habbie>
i have a device here where messing with a pin or two on boot gives you console, -if- the uboot is old enough. don't know if it's true for the experias
<Sander_>
The bootloader presents a console, but it's password protected. You mean pulling cs to ground would present a different console? (I'm not so well versed in electronics etc)
<Habbie>
Sander_, pulling cs to ground will cause SPI read failure, and that error sometimes causes the console to show up
<Sander_>
Even on recent firmware, Arcadyan/KPN doesn't seem to have touched the bootloader.
