09:32 <Forst> not_aiyion: a very wild guess, but I hit a similar-ish problem the other day on an unrelated project. I have Homebrew installed on my machine, and perl from homebrew took precedence over system perl

10:15 <not_aiyion> Forst: I'm working my through at an alarmingly slow pace; but it looks like robimarko was completely right yesterday and the system perl is made available in staging_dir under hostpackages, then thats symlinked into the build dir and executed there.

10:16 <not_aiyion> Everything appears to be intentional up to that point. The only thing that I'm currently lacking is understanding how it's supposed to consume the perl modules which lie in relative paths unavailable in builddir.
