the m1n1 virtual serial port will not work at this point, as there is no usb support, so you need to use real serial. And to enable that you need either a second arm mac, or a special board

Hi, I’m trying to boot macOS 15.6 (and also tested with macOS 26) using the m1n1 hypervisor on M1 Mac mini. The secondary cores come up successfully, but afterwards the system stalls and no additional logs appear. Does anyone know why this might be happening, or which parts of m1n1 I should look into modifying to get past this point?

I tried to perform testing using the macOS development kernel, but unlike versions 13 and 14, in versions 15 and 26 the development build does not provide dSYM files, making backtrace analysis difficult. For now, I am proceeding with the KASAN kernel, but since the system reboots without a panic, I couldn’t identify what the issue is. Has there been no further porting work for the m1n1 hypervisor beyond

auscyber_: it really depends *where* you're ordering it. you can get 5 PCBs from JCLPCB, fully populated, for about $50. depending where you are, shipping and taxes is what will cost you.
