BroderTuck: re: A523 U-Boot> I have a branch based upon u-boot/next, switched that to OF_UPSTREAM, and cherry-picked the DTs from the kernel, but it's not pushed anywhere yet
<apritzel>
I will try to push this out, so that people have something more "modern" to play with ...

apritzel: Yeah, let old CPUs lie, I won't argue there. Regarding newer socs: that a523-beta branch works well enough, except for that one patch which currently doesn't matter since my rootfs is on the sdcard and therefor 'card detect' is rather irrelevant since it's always in.
<BroderTuck>
On the other hand, asw part of upgrading to 6.16-rc, I also tested a few of the patches that junari had collected as part of https://gitlab.manjaro.org/iuncuim/linux , namely 1205.1208,1212,1213,1214. Haven't worked out yet which one in particular it is (or if you need several) that makes the emmc work.
<BroderTuck>
The dt parts of those patcges are unfortunate lot really cleanly put together, one patch changes a setting, and the another changes it back...

apritzel: hey! I'm trying out your a133 u-boot patches, is there some associated atf repo or is it u-boot doing psci for now?
<apritzel>
I guess this will not go anywhere in this form, and I have a private branch that integrates A133 support in the H6 port
<apritzel>
but both versions suffer from memory shortage issues, though: at the moment they are using parts of SRAM C, which will not work anymore as soon as we use the DE or VE
<apritzel>
this adozip repo doesn't look right: there is no RSB in the A133 ....
<apritzel>
paulk: you can use any existing H6 TF-A build, if you disable the actual secondary cores in the DT ;-)

apritzel: Hello, thanks for this amazing branch! Unfortunately, it U-Boot crashes with `binman_init failed:-2` https://pastebin.com/raw/bxLBc61L
