is anybody else seeing pkgman steadily failing to download more than 60MB of packages before failing with "operation not permitted"? this has been like this for a week or two, and it is currently blocking an update because the GCC package is more than 70MB big
<Begasus[m]>
not really here dovsienko
<Begasus[m]>
would make some great post if you could create a video with Mixxx in action on Haiku TurBoss :)
<Begasus[m]>
not just screen captupe, but with the setup shown in that picture
<TurBoss>
I'll build a real hardware pc with haiku and get y Dj friend to use it

Hi, I've tried to compile Haiku under Fedora, but I've got an error that I don't knwop what I can do about: "src/bin/unzip/unzip.c:1718:24: error: conflicting types for ‘getenv’; have ‘char *(void)’
<Halamix2>
"
<bjorkintosh>
Halamix2: why compiling haiku under fedora? why not run it in a VM and do your compilation there?
<Halamix2>
as long as I'll be able to grab the compiel .iso form the VM somehow I can create a VM; so far I've simply followed this tutorial: https://www.haiku-os.org/guides/building/

Hmm, VM has trouble saturating 30 threads during compilation; maybe I should just compile Haiku under bare-metal Haiku...

<whitepaperkat>
yeah just run it under a vm
<whitepaperkat>
i should talk though I have it on my main pc and currently daily driving it
<whitepaperkat>
or just use the nightly images of it
<whitepaperkat>
also sorry for the late reply i was on a walk with my father
<Halamix2>
I wanted to add some drivers for my Wi-Fi and audio interface (possibly porting from FreeBSD, like some drivers), that's why I need to compile from sources. I've tried VM, but it's quite slower; I could live with that, but I'll test bare-metal compilation speed under Haiku for completeness

<Habbie>
compiling on debian has been fine for me, by the way, after setting up the compiler
<whitepaperkat>
ah i see
<Halamix2>
Compiling Under bare-metal Haiku works, and is quite fast (~4:20mins), I'll just dual boot if I'm unable to fix the compialtion under Fedora
