I've tried to boot using kernel from linus's branch (6.16-rc6) and the machine booted ok-ish, but keyboard and trackpad didn't work on my m2. Is the support missing there, or, have I mis-configured my kernel?

if I understand correctly, we don't have keyboard and trackpad support because HID in apple's mac go through dockchannel and Linus' upstream doesn't appear to have dockchannel.
