devices - well, you need the devices in question, so go to apple.com and you can easily get a quote that way. Time - we kinda got two "hard" generations in a row with m3 and m4. m3 has a new gpu ISA, which is the "hard" part for it, and m4 will need a lot of m1n1 work (m1 also did, ofc, but most of it was "hidden", as when that was happening the project was a lot more low profile).

And also asahi is almost impossible on m4 with macos 15.x due to apple bug that is fixed in 26.x
