regarding libinput, I have a particularly troublesome touchpad on an HP laptop making use of i8842 and is a full match for 30-vendor-synaptics.quirks. The problem is that while using two finger scrolling, upon cessation of movement or lifting fingers off of the surface, it snaps backwards almost like an intentional flick was made. The velocity of that flick carries on for a moment. This is not how other synaptics touchpads work on my different hp

laptops, I struggled to find out how to add or modify anything like a dead-zone or acceleration profile. Was hoping to provide debug level feedback and can work this issue with those who can guide me on what I need to do to resolve this. The touchpad is not hopeless, it just makes the system nearly unusuable.

Thank you, I definitely tried to just search for wayland on the matrix.org "server" but nothing was returned. First World Problems
