<geobang[m]> hi, i am wondering so long, if there are logically 2 panels connect to mdss dsi, is drm display subsys support such arrangement? I knew that I2c addressing mode can add a layer of device driver by Gpio selection and let i2c clients work like multiplexed. If display subsystem also support something like that then after panel probe reading option gpio value can distinguish if the panel is tianma/novatek or csot/goodix and right to return
<geobang[m]> -einval such that there is only one device tree file needed to fit for many phoone variant.

<Adrian[m]> Heya, I've been working on sm7450 for a while now and was planning to send a few patches for it soon. Given that nothing is upstream for it yet, I was wondering whether I should be using the name sm7450 or diwali, since it appears the convention has changed recently?
<z3ntu> Adrian%5Bm%5D: if diwali is the actual name and not the downstream kernel name, then probably yes
<Adrian[m]> It's either diwali or fillmore, not sure which of the two
<z3ntu> fillmore seems more correct
<z3ntu> but someone from Qualcomm should be able to confirm. That's one thing where imo they need to make a list of marketing names to model numbers to proper codenames that should be used. Especially for platforms that are not upstream, since the community will not have an easy time finding the name
