<tstachecki> ahh, think it's related to missing code from the OF/dt support maybe? it might need to declare a PM dependency on the qup serial

<erebion> > LIBCAMERA_LOG_LEVELS=*:0 cam -l
<erebion> Thanks
<erebion> > That should be more descriptive over what's happening. Also try running with sudo after to check if it's a permissions thing
<erebion> Not missing permissions anyway
<erebion> > After that, check the dmesg for any failed drivers, and media-ctl -p
<erebion> dmesg says nothing
<erebion> media-ctl is not packaged in Debian
<erebion> What would that command do?
<erebion> Oh that is now part of v4l-utils, it seems
<erebion> $ media-ctl -p
<erebion> Failed to enumerate /dev/media0 (-2)
<erebion> I'm at least not seeing anything in dmesg that looks like it might be helpful
<erebion> This is the output of LIBCAMERA_LOG_LEVELS=*:0 cam -l https://pastebin.com/f3vq2wDk

<steev> erebion: do you have libcamera-ipa installed? i'm assuming yes, but wanna make sure
<KieranBingham[m]> erebion: looks to me like no sensor or drivers at first glance. I'd really want to check the media-ctl output next. I don't think there's any media graph or drivers for the sensor,
<KieranBingham[m]> Or I need the same output with sudo. If media-ctl can't report a graph then libcamera won't be able to parse it!
<KieranBingham[m]> Oh. Errno 2 == no file found so there are indeed driver issues or devicetree.
<KieranBingham[m]> So either need to double check dmesg for errors or there isn't any suitable drivers loading...

<alexVinarskis[m]> Could someone who tested Bryan's camera branch on Lenovo Yoga Slim7x share the errors you were getting? It appears logs linked via pastebin from weeks ago are expired... I found reports of sensor probing but unable to start video stream - im stuck in the same spot with Asus Zenbook camera, but from what I understood i have different error (cam_cc_ife_1_gdsc status stuck at 'off').
<anthony25> alexVinarskis[m]: sure, I can
<anthony25> I see if I have time to build that in the next hours
<alexVinarskis[m]> Awesome, thanks! Sure, no rush, next days also works :)

<steev> is the camss module not loaded? should be something like qcom-camss
<steev> how are you loading your dtb?
<erebion> Kernel cmdline: dtb=sc8280xp-lenovo-thinkpad-x13s.dtb
<erebion> I doubt that's an issue, as every other piece of hardware works fine

<steev> well, if it's not pulling in the dtb that has camss enabled, it would be an issue
<steev> are you using grub or systemd-boot?
<steev> and fwiw, i run this after each time i install my kernel, you'd need to correct for kernel version - `sudo cp /usr/lib/linux-image-6.12.25-arm64/qcom/sc8280xp-lenovo-thinkpad-x13s.dtb /boot/efi`
<steev> can you show the contents of /proc/device-tree/soc@0/ ?

<erebion> systemd-boot
<erebion> waaait
<erebion> Does it take the kernel from /boot or /boot/efi?
<erebion> I've got two DTBs, in both paths
<erebion> The one in /boot/efi is...very old
<erebion> oof
<erebion> That might be it

<agl> sorry, caps lock was aktivated
<steev> let me boot test it
