<loki666> I made some more tests, and HDMI doesn't expose the flickering I'm having on the panel
<loki666> Unfortunately we are using an out of tree driver for that Synatics panel... Should I try to look for patches applied to dispcc ?
<loki666> The same soc is also used on Odin2 Portal with a different panel, which also doesn't expose the flickering.
<loki666> Could it be some misconfigured drm_flags on the panel ?

<z3ntu> bamse: could we add some unit tests with known firmware examples, at least the headers of those? Afaik there's some in-kernel unit tests like this?
<z3ntu> doesn't solve the problem immediately but if we have some bugs, add a new example to the tests to make sure it doesn't regress later

<lumag> z3ntu: the problem is that you can't really distribute most of those binaries, so testing would be limited
<lumag> z3ntu: bamse: with https://github.com/linux-msm/pil-squasher/pull/14 the squashed firmware should be correct. Would that help you?
