narmstrong: not sure if you have an idea but it appears that multiple smartphone based on new-ish qcom SoCs have troubles getting microphones to work via the WCD codec. For example on FP5 with WCD9385 and QCM6490 pre-audioreach it doesn't seem to work even though analog headphone playback (via usb-c) is working and it's quite a mystery why
<z3ntu>
at least on FP5 the mics are AMICs connected to the WCD

z3ntu: honestly I only really used the wcd9395 I upstreamed, and AMIC worked, but you may need to closely check the qcom,port-mapping on TX side to make sure you get the amic ports on the right swr ports
<z3ntu>
narmstrong: ok thanks for the advice, will double check what is happening downstream vs mainline
