mps: is there a reason why alpine's mesa only builds the asahi gallium driver (OpenGL) and not HoneyKrisp (--vulkan-drivers=asahi)?

jannau: afaik only I work in my free time on asahi for alpine.
<mps>
and I know little about modern graphic stack in linux (and other OSes)
<mps>
(says someone who designed graphic card 35+ years ago)
<mps>
I didn't know how to enable and didn't know honeykrisp option exists (thank you for giving this info)
<mps>
I have to read about all these modern things about graphic somewhere (if I find good and not big docs)
<mps>
for now I can try to build with '--vulkan-drivers=asahi'. thank you for hint
<mps>
fine, I've got mesa-vulkan-asahi-25.1.0-r2.apk but don't know how to test it
<leio>
gtk 4.16 and newer defaults to using vulkan if built with that support, so that might be an easy test for some basic usage of the driver. The inspector ( https://docs.gtk.org/gtk4/running.html#interactive-debugging ) tells what it uses

(it defaults to it only if it's not lavapipe though, iirc)
