<travmurav[m]> TIL qca BT constantly listens for BT directed advertising to wake up my laptop from suspend if I try to connect my kb/mouse to it
<travmurav[m]> and I'm wondering why I'm only getting 2 weeks of suspend /s/s

<anthony25> wow, 2 weeks!
<anthony25> which laptop is it?
<Jasper[m]> Acer Aspire 1
<travmurav[m]> benefits of not having pcie I guess /s

<JensGlathe[m]> isn't this one of these "always on" things? not always, but I can wake up the X13s / Thinkbook 16 by moving the BT mouse

<travmurav[m]> well it's a separate chip so it's as on as you make it to be, but I guess the sad part is that my schematics don't cover the qsip module where the chip is so i can't easily know how to disable it if I want
<travmurav[m]> one could argue that for a mobile platform keeping bt/wifi always on is a good thing for sleep during long polling and all that fun but oh well xD

<jhovold> robclark: none of the qcom dt changes queued for 6.15 made it into 6.15 this time, including the rtc patch
<jhovold> maybe bamse can manage to squeeze in the rtc patch during the rcs as it is a trivial hw enablement change
<jhovold> but more likely this will all have to wait until 6.16-rc1

<kuruczgy[m]> tobhe: Is your new 4GB grub patch available somewhere where it could be fetched programmatically? (So I don't have to manually fix up the patch from the grub mailing list archive html...)
<kuruczgy[m]> The ubuntu package still seems to have the old patch: https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-concept/ubuntu/+source/grub2/log/?h=ubuntu/oracular-x1e
<kuruczgy[m]> (This is the one I am looking for: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2025-04/msg00138.html )
<kuruczgy[m]> I have had luck with fetching mbox files from LKML and using those as patches, but the gnu archive does not seem to offer individual mbox downloads...
<jannau> u-boot mailing list is available on lore.kernel.org: https://lore.kernel.org/u-boot/

<kuruczgy[m]> Wait grub-devel is also https://lore.kernel.org/grub-devel/
<kuruczgy[m]> Oh no but the mbox is encoded how do I apply that aaah
<sgerhold> kuruczgy[m]: surprisingly, at least git am seems to handle that automatically :D
<jannau> why did I read grub as u-boot? glad that grub-devel is there too

<kuruczgy[m]> Well regular patch does not, which is what my distro build system uses :/
<steev> maybe pipe through base64? not sure how that would affect the headers
<steev> kuruczgy[m]: is there a plucky-x1e maybe that has the new one if so (but iirc upstream pointed out that the patch will break other systems, so if you're making something that will support !x1e, the patch is bad)
<jannau> kuruczgy[m]: `curl -q 'https://lore.kernel.org/grub-devel/20250411103820.108548-1-tobias.heider@canonical.com/raw' | grep '^[a-zA-Z0-9+/=]\+$' | base64 -d`
<\[m]> fuuu my macbook m1 screen is fckd - no more tuxedo waiting room or what
<Treibholz[m]> \[m]: do you want to trade with a nice 16GB mac mini M1 (with a broken NVMe)?
<kuruczgy[m]> jannau: Thanks, I guess that's really the best solution...

<robclark> `Runtime PM usage count underflow!` is a thing that I've not seen before.. is 3da0000 the adreno_smmu?
<robclark> what kernel? (and Mesa)
<JensGlathe[m]> yes
<JensGlathe[m]> 3da0000 is the adreno smmu
<robclark> hmm, I'm still on v6.14.. but if smmu stops translating addresses, the GPU will just be stuck there without memory access
