Oh, i took that fuckup from plugin example :D
<manigohan[m]>
one caveat with phosh-plugin-mediaplayer not playing well with apk is i can't do anything apk unless i remove everything related to it manually
<manigohan[m]>
bwa
<NekoCWD[m]1>
Ok, I guess it's fixed now. Wait a 3-10 mins and upgrade package
<TangTang[m]>
Why is the WiFi speed of Redmi 4x Santoni so slow under Linux? It is almost unusable. Is it due to interference? Or is there a problem with the driver?
<manigohan[m]>
how slow compared to downstream android
<manigohan[m]>
also could be router issue
<TangTang[m]>
I have tried pmos and sailfish os and both are like this
<TangTang[m]>
But it works fine on Android, and the speed of other devices is also normal
<manigohan[m]>
sailfish is downstream
<manigohan[m]>
thats weird
<TangTang[m]>
<manigohan[m]> "how slow compared to downstream..." <- Android can run about 7-8MB, Web pages can hardly load under Linux
<barni2000[m]>
<TangTang[m]> "Why is the WiFi speed of Redmi..." <- it is working fine for me i can watch youtube videos
<barni2000[m]>
try to remove network manager profile and connect again
<TangTang[m]>
I used pmbootstrap to compile the phosh User interface of qcom msm89x7 directly, and then flashed rootfs to the system partition and lk2nd to the boot partition.
<barni2000[m]>
it does not matter sometimes wcn3620 is getting mad and not working well, it is totally random
<TangTang[m]>
<barni2000[m]> "try to remove network manager..." <- I reinstalled it so there is no configuration file.
<barni2000[m]>
my experience if you have issue with it removing profile and maybe do couple of reboot will solve it
<TangTang[m]>
Thanks, I'll try again
<barni2000[m]>
i have checked my Redmi 4x, full hd playing from youtub is working, speedtest show 30 MBps
<barni2000[m]>
s/MBps/Mbps/
<barni2000[m]>
so that is fine ig for 3620
<barni2000[m]>
2.4Ghz
<jojo_autoboy[m]>
venus is still broken for the 37 right?
<barni2000[m]>
yep
<barni2000[m]>
i was an almost a 1 month vaction so i don't do too much in June
<jojo_autoboy[m]>
ah
<barni2000[m]>
i should get back to upstreaming 8937
<Biswa96[m]>
upstreaming to torvalds/linux?
<barni2000[m]>
yes
<barni2000[m]>
i have already sent a couple of iteration
<barni2000[m]>
i think 1 or 2 iteration will be enough for finish it
<barni2000[m]>
<Biswa96[m]> "upstreaming to torvalds/linux?" <- kernel.org
