Ohh nice. I posted question without knowing that register failed
<bunting>
Have anyone used A64-H variant? Cannot tell what's the difference in either HW or SW

bunting: nothing. It's just a new label somewhat indicating that this SoC has an HDMI port
<apritzel>
and I guess it tells you that your chip has been produced or at least packaged somewhat recently

Then some of the pins map differently?
<apritzel>
no, it's exactly the same as the A64
<apritzel>
It looks like Allwinner adding "-H" to some older chip names, maybe related to HDMI licensing issues. But nothing has changed except the label

<apritzel>
why are you asking? Do you see any problems?

Was trying to make a hardware, and I was afraid if the design was changed.

Thank you for the answer!

<apritzel>
not sure using an already 10 year old chip is a wise choice, but godspeed anyway ;-)
<bunting>
Well... you don't need shiny parts for homebrew portable that won't run much things :P

it seems there is no maxio phy driver(MAE0621A) in mainline, but in some vendor's repo..

<montjoie>
apritzel: your sdcard patch was autotested, but I didnt see any change, worth a tested-by as no-regression ?
<apritzel>
montjoie: I think it works if you boot with an SD card in, since the pull-down forces the card detect to say "inserted" all the time. But the kernel would not notice a card insertion this way
<apritzel>
montjoie: so unless you test card insertion in your automatic setup (which I doubt), I wouldn't bother sending a tested tag
<apritzel>
though it's nice that you run those patches through the paces, thanks very much for that
<montjoie>
ah you mean insert after boot, like hotplug
<apritzel>
exactly
<montjoie>
could be done:), I have some usbsdmuxer
<apritzel>
I think the MMC framework can cope with a false positive (CD says card in, but there is none), so if you boot without an SD card, that's would work as well
<apritzel>
junari: so can we now assume that the MAXIO chip is compatible to a default clause 22 PHY? Despite the extra handling in those BSP drivers floating around?
<apritzel>
And did anyone find a datasheet for this MAXIO MAE0621 somewhere? Our friends at Radxa should have one?
