im trying to think of a good way to handle the m1n1 transition to rust. if we dont want to change the hv to save and restore floating point context then we're probably going to need to feature gate it so that distros can build m1n1 for the boot chain without nightly toolchains

that way distros can just build the non-hv components with the default target triple and forget softfloat. folks who want the hypervisor can clone and build manually with a rustup or nightly toolchain if they want to use -Z build-std
