dgilmore: I have the Orangepi 5 plus it had the best features imo
<SpieringsAE_sff>
m.2 wifi slot, not pre soldered, all the hdmi ports, 2x2.5gb ethernet
<SpieringsAE_sff>
running intel ax210 wifi in it, nvme ssd on the back, passive cooling case
<SpieringsAE_sff>
Mis012[m]: I have very mixed feelings about u-boot. I just recently flashed 2026.7 onto my old rockpro64 and encountered nothing but jank
<SpieringsAE_sff>
I'd port the board to barebox before I go to u-boot, but it is kind of deployed now, and works great. So not really messing with the firmware anymore

I also don't think it works for tools, because Proton Experimental x86 should have at the very least thousands of people active at any given moment :P
<icecream95>
Would this be for the FEX configuration tool or something then?
<HdkR>
Probably just weird reporting for tools as usual
<travmurav[m]>

recently spent a bunch of time figuring out if -deckard option actually does anything but he only came up with two conclusions: 1) possibly need both -steamos and -steamframe and 2) the tool metadata is still not included in whatever stuff client downloads from the server
<Mis012[m]>
could also be people trolling like with the deckard wifi stick windows driver
<HdkR>
True, I think there are some ways to report players in tool appids
<Mis012[m]>
well, I assume you can report it for anything that has an app id
<Mis012[m]>
but for games it's intended functionality and Steam itself does it
<HdkR>
Yea, I believe that's the case

longptr: yes this works if you have the recovery key. But you may not have it because not registered with msa, and/or win11 home, pre-encrypted drive etcpp. Seen a lot of variants. Fetching the fw from Windows on Windows to the USB is the path of least fuckups.

SpieringsAE_sff: I wanted the size of the pro. I planned to put it in a raspberry pi rack. Though I think they made enough different it doesn't actually work. I need to finalise the u-boot patches for it once the dts actually lands upstream it's queued for 7.3

psydroidSome other tricks are editing out the 'splash' and 'quiet' in grub's kernel command line to see if you can see any more detail, adding a boot_delay=10 can slow the boot messages down a lot to see if you can see anything useful (picking the number for boot_delay is a bit hit and miss)
